January 22, 2015
The New Year has only begun, so there’s time to make one more resolution—smile more! That’s right. Your smile isn’t just good for you, it’s good for the people around you, too. So why not give them your best and brightest smile with porcelain veneers from Aspen Dental Care in Ft. Collins, CO. With porcelain veneers, Dr. Shiloh Lindsey and her staff have improved or repaired the smiles of many patients and they can do the same for you.
Your smile may be less than you desire for a variety of reasons:
- Stained or discolored teeth
- Teeth that are chipped
- Fractured teeth
- Teeth that are slightly misaligned or misshapen
- Teeth that have irregular gaps in between them
Whatever the reason, you don’t need to accept your smile as it is. Porcelain veneers can give you the smile you’ve always dreamed of having.
Porcelain Veneers for You
When you come to Dr. Lindsey for porcelain veneers, the first thing she’ll do is thoroughly examine your overall oral health and make sure you don’t need any restorative treatment before the veneer procedure. The two of you will discuss your vision of a beautiful smile with consideration given to your mouth and facial features.
Then, the procedure will begin and will usually be completed in a couple of appointments. First, we’ll cover your lips and gums with a shield for protection. Dr. Shiloh will prep the teeth receiving veneers by first applying a gentle abrasive that makes the teeth’s surface better able to hold the veneers. Furthermore, this ensures that the veneers will lay flush with your other teeth.
You’ll wear temporaries while your custom-designed, color matched porcelain veneers are created in a cosmetic dental lab. When they’re ready, you’ll return to Aspen Dental Care for Dr. Lindsey to apply the veneers to your teeth. She will trim and polish your new veneers until they look like your real teeth—only better!
